Vintage Tribal style glass bead necklace

This is a vintage glass bead necklace dating from the 1970s or early 1980s, but very much in turn with today’s tribal/ethnic look.

Wonderful beads of many different shapes and sizes in clear and amber combine to stunning effect. For example we have a huge heart shaped amber pendant at centre front, flanked by smaller hearts in clear class.

Falling from this central pendant is a beaded tassel of amber coloured sphericals. Other beads are flat ovals and sphericals, combined with small faceted amber chains. It closes with a loop and catch fitting in silver tone metal.

Tribal style glass and cloisonné bead necklace

This really is a very special one of a kind necklace which falls to chest level when worn by the average person. It is made up from a carefully graduated collection of antique Chinese handmade beads in deep blue cloisonné enamel combined with Tibetan silver. These beads are adorned with traditional Buddhist symbols. Picture 4 shows these in close-up so that you can see the workmanship.

A large oval bead in the centre front is flanked by sphericals in diminishing size. These are interspersed with oval shaped Indian beads of precious iridescent turquoise glass. The whole strung upon a stout leather throng.

Please note that Tibetan silver is an alloy which is not equivalent to sterling silver.

Vintage style Venetian glass and bead necklace

This rexceptionally pretty necklace has a vintage look and falls to just past chest level on the average person. It can also be worn looped as a choked as on the model. It is made from oval and spherical Venetian glass antique beads in that beautiful iridescent gold/purple effect which is so prized by collectors.

Each bead looks to have a glowing light imprisoned within it, and no two are exactly alike. These are enclosed within antique look filigree brass caps and interspersed with faux pearls to stunning effect.

2 Vintage Tribal style composition and glass bead necklaces

This is a lot of two vintage tribal style necklaces worn together choker style on the model to give a currently fashionable massed effect.

First we have a bead necklace of cinnamon coloured composition probably dating from the 1970s. It has a barrel style gold tone metal fastening.

Next a long strand in which acrylic amber glass and brown and cream composition beads with an ethnic look are combined together.

This neck lace can be worn alone for an Art Deco flapper effect.

Vintage Christian Dior Signed Frog Brooch Pin

This cute little brooch pin is signed Christian Dior and probably dates from the 1980s. The gold tone finish and larger than life rhinestone additions fit in with the glitzy Dynasty look. Indeed Alexis Carrington would not have been ashamed to sport this little fellow in the lapel of her power suit.

The finish is a bright gold tone metallic. The frog has a huge oval rhinestone set into his back, and large faux emerald eyes. Just the very thing to take the business woman with an eye for something different from work into evening.
