Q: Which currencies do you trade in?

A: British Pounds sterling, US dollars and Euro.

Q: Which countries do you ship to?

A: We ship worldwide. If your country is not available from the drop down list of the shopping cart, please contact us by email.

Q: Are customs charges and/or import duty include in shipping costs?

A: No, these are the responsibility of the buyer!

Q: Why do you sell items made from protected species such as turtle shell and elephant ivory?

A: We only sell items made from these materials which predate 1947 as this is permitted under EU legislation. We do not sell illegal modern goods produced in these materials. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that items can legally be imported into their country.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept Paypal and all major credit cards online. We also accept personal cheques (checks), US dollar money orders, postal orders and international money orders by mail.

Q: Why do you only have one of each item in stock?

A: Most of the items we sell are antique and vintage and therefore one-offs.

Q: Does antique and/or vintage mean that the items have been worn and are not new?

A: Yes, because they have been pre-owned. Antique and vintage items are rarely pristine and will usually contain some sign that the item has been worn and used, such as minor wear or rhinestones that have changed colour. We try to note all flaws which may affect the value or functionality of a piece but it would be completely impractical to mention every minor scratch. We do however sell a range of Brand New items which have never been worn, except by our models for photographic purposes.

Q: Why does it say that antique and vintage items are sold “without warranty”?

A: These items are not new, may be over a hundred years old, and consequently do not come with a guarantee. They are sold as “collectables”. Buyers are expected to take reasonable care of their purchases. While many may be wearable with care we are able to offer no guarantee of this or of their suitability for such. Only items in our Brand New category are guaranteed defect free for 30 days from purchase.

Q: If I later cut my hair will you buy items back?

A: We do not offer buy back for sold items at this time.

Q: Do you give wholesale discounts for very large purchases?

A: Please contact us by email if you wish to discuss terms for a bulk purchase valued at over £500 or $1000. We will then forward you a special discount/promotion code to use at the checkout.
